How to validate and monitor image imports in PicManager?

After an upload is complete, you can review detailed information about it on the History page. You can also validate successful and unsuccessful image matches before finalizing the import to Shopify Admin with PicManager’s photo matching validator.

Review successful and failed image imports

In PicManager’s menu, open the History page to find audit trail (upload history and log) of all your image uploads and optimizations, including:
Upload status (Finished, Canceled)
  1. Upload start and finish date and time
  2. Total number of images
  3. Number of matched images
  4. Number of uploaded images

Open the detailed log of the upload you’re interested in to see the actions PicManager performed on the images during the import. If you uploaded images by mistake or need to undo an entire import, you can also revert the upload to remove all images added in that import and restore the previous images that were replaced. The Revert option is available for 7 or 30 days, depending on your subscription plan.

Review product matches before finalizing an image upload

With the PicManager’s photo matching validator, you can check which images were matched successfully, find unmatched images, remove incorrect matches, and manually assign images to products before finalizing the import.
  1. Open the Upload media page.
  2. Select the files you want to upload and start uploading.
  3. Review the matching results. PicManager shows matched and unmatched images. You can remove an incorrect match by clicking the X icon or manually assign an unmatched image to a product.

  4. Finish the upload once you have verified the matches.
