Is it possible to use a Social Login account for login without social networks, or link social networks to old accounts that have been on the website for a long time?
Our Social Login module uses default Magento customer account functionality for registration and login, which means that regular login and social network login processes are fully interchangeable:
- Customer accounts created via Social Login integrations with social networks are available for review and editing at the default Customers > All Customers grid in Magento admin area;
- Customers that registered on the website before the module was installed can still link their social networks to their accounts. They can do that in the frontend in the My Social Accounts tab, and more than one social network can be linked, if required:
- If a customer initially registered their account by connecting a social network, they can set up a default Magento login flow for their account anytime. Since a password is required for the default Magento login, a password reset needs to be triggered. This can be done either via website frontend by using the Forgot Your Password? form:
