When Partial Match is enabled, the app searches for matching text between the image file name and the product SKU or title. The matching text can appear at the beginning, middle, or end of the image name, SKU, or title.
The app also ignores separators and special characters, such as spaces, underscores, hyphens, and other symbols. This means that an image file name does not need to match the product title or SKU exactly.

Let’s say your product title is:
Luxury Leather Office Chair - Model X500
And your image file name is:
Test_X500_test1.jpg
To use Partial Match, go to:
Apps > PicManager > Settings > Media Upload tab > Matching settings section
Then use the following configuration:
The app supports special characters in image file names. However, for the best results, we recommend using clear and consistent image names before uploading them to your Shopify store.
Also, please keep in mind that uploads may take more time when Partial Match is enabled. This is because the app uses broader matching logic and may need to check more possible matches.
By following these guidelines, you can improve the accuracy of image assignments and reduce the chance of mismatches.
If you have reviewed the points above and are still experiencing issues, we recommend checking the additional steps for successful image uploading and matching. If the issue continues, please contact our support team and include your upload job number so we can help troubleshoot your settings.
