The 'Best Sellers' sorting option offers two approaches: utilizing actual bestseller statistics collected by Magento or creating a custom attribute for artificial results.
⇾ Magento statistics
This sorting method relies on default Magento bestseller reports (Reports → Products → Bestsellers). The extension arranges products based on actual data, positioning them higher in the list as their sales increase — the more a product is bought, the higher its placement. The module prioritizes sorting based on the quantity sold, without considering monetary revenue.
To use this method, you can simply leave the Custom Bestsellers Attribute field empty in the general configurations of the extension:
⇾ Custom attribute
This feature allows you to artificially move certain items to the top of the product listing. For instance, you can create a custom attribute of the Price type, associate it with your products, and set the highest value to the items you wish to prioritize.
Once selected in the Custom Bestsellers Attribute setting, the extension will arrange products based on your custom attribute.
