Can I transfer an extension to another amasty.com account?

Extension transfer is now available to all amasty.com customers in their respective accounts. To carry out transfer, follow the steps below:

Step 1. The target amasty.com account that wants to obtain the module should create a License Registration project and share it with the account that originally purchased the module and currently owns the license. You may refer to this guide to do this: How do I share my modules with another amasty.com account for download and registration?

It is important to create a project under the correct account and share it in the correct direction, as otherwise transfer option will be unavailable. For example, let's say that account [email protected] purchased a module long ago for their client [email protected], and now account [email protected] wants to have this module transferred to them:
  1. Correct scenario: account [email protected] creates a project and shares it with the account [email protected]. Account [email protected] adds the module in question to the shared project; 
  2. Incorrect scenario: account [email protected] creates a project, adds their module to the project, and shares the project with the account [email protected].

Step 2. The account that originally purchased the module should add the related module license to the project they've just been shared. It can be done in License Registration tab:

A module license can be assigned to only one project at a time. If the license you want to transfer is already assigned to some other project, first current module owner needs to un-assign it from that project.

Step 3. When module license is added to the shared project, current module owner will see a Transfer product button next to module name inside the project:


If the button is unavailable, the product you're willing to transfer might have been discontinued and isn't supported anymore. In such case, don't hesitate to contact our Support team who will provide further details.

After clicking on it and confirming the action, transfer will obtain pending status. At this point, it can still be cancelled, if required:


Step 4. The amasty.com account that wants to obtain the extension will see in their project that transfer can be accepted now:


This account will need to click on the Accept Transfer button, and the transfer process will be approved:



Step 5. The same account that wants to obtain the module and has just approved the transfer will see that this extension has been added to their cart. To finish the transfer process, this account will need to place an order with the module:

Please be informed that placing an order with transferred products will incur certain costs. As a result of the transfer, an active Product Subscription is created that will be active for a year starting from the day of successful transfer. The new module owner can cancel this subscription anytime in their amasty.com account.

Module transfer is considered complete after an order has been placed successfully, and the license will disappear from the old owner's account, appearing in the target account instead.
