Why is the app asking for access to personal customer data now?
Starting from version 1.7.0, our app introduced support for B2B catalogs, which requires the read_companies permission. As a result, Shopify now requests permission that may technically include access to certain customer data (name, email, phone number, physical address).
Does the app actually use my customers’ personal information?
No. Although Shopify requests access under this scope, the app does not collect, store, or process your customers’ personal data. Access is strictly limited to functionality required for B2B price synchronization. You can read more in our
privacy policy.
Are these permissions optional?
No. Accepting these permissions is mandatory for the app to function properly. Declining will prevent the app from working as intended.
What store information does the app actually store?
We only store the following data related to your store:
- Store ID
- Email
- MyShopify domain and custom domain
- Store name
- Access token (for API)
- Shop owner name
- Country
- Plan display name
- Timezone
- Currency
- Partner development status
- Shopify Plus status
After uninstalling the app, the only information we retain is the store ID.
