Why don’t some images appear in the optimization grid after analysis with LitePix Image Optimizer?

Our application analyzes images and displays those that need optimization in a grid format for easy access. Images that don't appear in the grid may fall under one of the following categories:

Reasons Why Images May Be Skipped

  1. Already Optimized Images
Images previously optimized are automatically recognized and skipped for additional processing.
  1. Potential Configuration Interference
Certain settings could prevent image optimization. Below is a detailed checklist to help you troubleshoot and adjust configurations:

Troubleshooting Checklist

Filter Options

Navigate to Apps > LitePix Image Optimizer > Settings.
  • 1) Confirm that the necessary image formats are enabled.

  • 2) Ensure the required entities (e.g., Products, Collections, Articles) are included in the optimization scope.

  • 3) Check the Visible product images checkbox - If selected, only images of published products will be optimized.

  • InfoNoteCurrently, images stored in Content > Files that are not linked to any entity are not analyzed. Future updates aim to include this feature

Optimization Size Control

Disabling this option allows optimization of images even when the resize resolution exceeds the original image resolution.

  • InfoNote: Recompressing an image with a lower compression ratio may increase file size, especially if transitioning from lossy to normal compression.

Image Adjustment

Check the Adjust Oversized Images to setting. If the selected resolution is larger than the original image size, those images may be skipped.
Consider:
      1) Disabling the Size Control setting
      2) Selecting No Adjustment in the resizing configuration.
