Why do extensions have different versions in the account and Magento backend?

After making a purchase at amasty.com, you are given the package of the extension.

A package serves as a wrapper of the purchased solution, and its content depends on the status of your product or support subscription in your account. Subscription packages include the main module as well as additional features provided through the subscription, such as the GraphQL module or an add-on for Hyva compatibility. It might happen, that the package and the functional module have different versions.

The version of the module package is displayed in your account at amasty.com. On the other hand, both the version of the functional module and the version of the package can be found in the Magento Admin in the Stores → Configuration → Amasty extensions → Products & Notifications tab.

If you need to update a module, we recommend updating the entire package, as it always contains the latest releases of the modules included.
