My video posts aren’t publishing correctly on Instagram with AutoPost — what should I check?

AutoPost supports up to 10 media items per post (including videos). However, Instagram enforces strict video rules, and whether a video post publishes successfully can depend on Instagram’s API limitations.

If you’re having trouble publishing posts that include videos to Instagram, check the cases below:

1. If your post contains only videos that are 90 seconds long, Instagram may reject it due to a restriction enforced by the Instagram API, and you may see an error such as “Video Exceeds the allowed limit.” To resolve this, try using a shorter video (under 90 seconds) or include other compatible media in the post.

2. If your post includes two videos where one is exactly 90 seconds and the other is under 90 seconds, Instagram may publish only the shorter video due to a limitation in the Instagram API; to ensure both videos appear in the final post, keep both videos under 90 seconds.

3. At the moment, videos can be added only to manually created posts, so automatic posts will fail if they contain only videos; as a workaround, you can still include a video in a scheduled post by going to Apps → AutoPost → Posting calendar, opening the scheduled post you want to publish, editing the attached media to add your video, and saving the changes:
