Is Google Page Speed Optimizer compatible with Hyva theme?
Our module can be used with Hyva theme upon installing the following additional suggested subscription package:
amasty/module-page-speed-optimizer-hyva
With this package, Google Page Speed Optimizer can operate on Hyva like in Luma-based themes. However, there are two aspects that might require additional attention:
1. Lazy Load script. When setting up Lazy Load at Amasty > Lazy Load > Configuration > Lazy Load, make sure to choose any script that is not jQuery Lazy Script. As Hyva theme doesn't use jQuery, if you select such script, it won't launch, and consequently frontend images won't be lazy-loaded:
2. Code optimization (HTML, JavaScript, CSS). Hyva developers don't recommend using minification and bundling of HTML, CSS or JS together with this theme. Hyva has its own code optimization mechanisms and strategies, so using additional solutions might break website frontend. You can find more details here.
Therefore, for Hyva-based frontend, it is necessary to disable both default Magento code optimization, and code optimization from the Google Page Speed Optimizer module. Ensure that settings in the following tabs at Amasty > Google Page Speed Optimizer > Configuration are kept disabled:
