The accuracy of AI-generated content depends on the product information, generation settings, and instructions you provide. Use the following recommendations to make the content more relevant to your products and brand.
1. Configure the general generation settings
Go to Apps > WritePilot > Settings.
Select the preferred AI provider: OpenAI or Gemini. The provider determines which AI model is used, so you do not need to select a model separately. All WritePilot generation features work
the same way with both providers.
Select HTML to generate structured content with paragraphs, headings, and lists, or Plain text if no formatting is required.
Set the Language, Length, Tone, and Format according to the content you need.
You can also enable Use Current Product Description if you want the AI to consider the existing description when creating a new version.
Use the Top-p (predictability) setting to control how varied the result is. A lower value produces more predictable, focused, and consistent content. A higher value allows the AI to use more varied and creative wording.
Note: Top-p does not control the content length. Use the Length setting to generate shorter or more detailed text.
2. Provide enough product information
Open the required product under Content generation > Products to configure its individual generation settings.
You can adjust the product-level settings to tailor the generated content to your needs.
Use the Additional Information section to provide extra details or requirements that should be included in the generated content. For example, you can specify the product’s color, material, country of origin, key features, or other important details.
The generated description now includes the specified information about the product’s color, material, and origin:
You can also add specific Keywords that should appear in the generated text. Keywords provide additional context and help the AI cover the topics that are important for your content.
For example, adding keywords ensures that the required topics are included in the result:
Here is the generated result:
Note: Product-level settings override the General Settings for that specific product.
3. Use detailed custom prompts
The default prompt is suitable for general content generation. Use Generate with custom prompt when you need more control over the result:
Make your instructions as clear and detailed as possible. Specify the type of content, language, tone, target audience, desired length, structure, keywords, and any important information the AI should include or avoid.
Make sure your prompt includes the {{ all.item.data }} variable. It provides the AI with information from the product settings.
Example 1: Generate an accurate product description
A general instruction such as "Write a product description" may not provide enough context about the expected result.
For a more accurate and structured description, you can use the following prompt:
Generate a product description in HTML format for the provided product. Start with a short introduction and follow it with a clear list of key features and customer benefits. Use a professional and straightforward tone for customers looking for practical product information. Include relevant keywords naturally. Use only the provided product data and do not invent specifications, materials, features, or benefits. {{ all.item.data }}
This prompt defines the format, structure, tone, audience, and restrictions for the generated content:
Example 2: Generate a relevant SEO description
When generating an SEO description, specify the required length and the product details that should be included.
For example:
Generate an engaging SEO meta description for the provided product. Keep it under 160 characters. Include the product title and relevant searchable keywords naturally. Clearly describe the product and its main value without adding unsupported claims. {{ all.item.data }}
The character limit helps keep the result suitable for a meta description, while the product data helps the AI create content relevant to the specific product.

You can also explicitly request content in another language. For example, start the prompt with:
Generate a product description in Spanish for customers in Spain.
When creating reusable prompt templates, you can use additional variables for the product title, current description, price, variants, collections, keywords, store name, and supported product metafields. These variables provide the AI with more product context and can help produce a more accurate result:
4. Review the content before publishing
Enable Preview before publishing in the General Settings if you want to review bulk-generated content before it is applied.
Check that the generated text accurately describes the product, uses the required language and tone, and follows any specified length or formatting requirements. You can edit the generated result before publishing it.
After editing content on an individual product page, click Save to apply the changes. Generated versions are also recorded in History, where previous content can be reviewed or restored while the record is available.
If the result is too general or inaccurate, add more product information and make the custom prompt more specific before generating the content again.
