Can your extension combine products into boxes, pallets, etc. and calculate shipping costs based on their dimensions?

Out-of-the-box, our Shipping Table Rates module allows using dimensional weight and assign it to your items in 4 following ways:
  1. using Dimensions Attribute where the package parameters are specified;
  2. using Separate Dimensional Attributes, where you may specify each value via a separate attribute;
  3. using Volume Attribute where the total volume needs to be filled in;
  4. using Volumetric Attribute where the final weight may be added.

However, the extension itself cannot combine products into packages, unfortunately. Nevertheless, for this case you may refer to a separate solution tailored for this purpose - Calcurates by Amasty. This is an online platform which allows solving the most complicated shipping scenarios, including applying the smart packaging and calculating distance-based and per pallet shipping rates.
