Can I give a discount to a product and offer a free gift at the same time within one rule?

Since 2.19.0 the Free Gift PRO extension allows you to combine gifts and discounts in a single promotional campaign using one coupon code instead of creating multiple rules. You can find the 'amasty/module-promo-pro-functionality' package for installing in composer suggest. Please note that the module is available as a part of an active subscription. 

With this feature, you can create more flexible promotions, for example, offer a free gift together with a discount on selected products in the same cart price rule.

After installing the module you'll find a new Additional Discount tab.
  • Apply Additional Discount to Cart Items field allows you to enable or disable an additional discount for regular cart items.
  • Discount Type:
    • Percentage discount
    • Fixed amount discount
  • Discount Amount field allows you to specify the value of the additional discount.
  • Maximum Qty Discount is Applied To field allows you to limit the number of products that can receive the additional discount.



  1. The Additional Discount tab is available only when a Free Gift action is selected in the rule configuration.
  2. The rule will work as follows: 
- the Free Gift product is added to the cart;
- the additional discount is applied to regular cart items according to the configured settings. The additional discount does not apply to Free Gift items added by the current rule or promotional items added by other Free Gift rules.
  1. The discount can be applied without and with the coupon code specified in the Free Gift rule. 
  2. If conditions are specified, the discount is applied only to matching cart items. If no conditions are configured, the discount applies to all regular products in the cart.
